SINGING IN THE RAIN

Organisers of the annual Carols by the Beach reported that the traditional Xmas carolling was not dampened by the southerly that struck Bondi in the early evening, bringing showers with it.

Strains of Silent Night and Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer mixed with more popular pop-hits as the appreciative audience sheltered where they could from the raindrops that kept falling on their heads.

Highlights of the occasion included performances by Kale & the Krissi Smoothies, the Primary School Rock Stars, the Bondi Dance Company, and the Bondi Beach Public School Choir.

Mayor Sally Betts told the Wentworth Courier: “Carols by the Sea is such a feel-good way to start the festive season.”
