BONDI SCHOOL ACCUSED OF RORTING TEACHERS
An education union has accused a Bondi private school of underpaying its teachers, the Sydney Morning Herald reports.
Reddam House, which has two campuses in Bondi (one in Mitchell Street and the other in Edgecliff Road) advertises itself as “an independent, co-educational, non-denominational, day school”. It has 20 other campuses in St Leonards, South Africa and the UK.
The union has taken the school to the Fairwork Commission alleging it underpaid its early-learning staff. The school told the Commission the teachers were employed by a separate company.
The Commission ordered the school to produce employment records, and the dispute will return to court in February.
