According to the latest Waverley Council figures, the population of the Bondi/Waverley area is now over 70,000, and rising fast.

Ten years ago the number of residents in the municipality was put at 63,435. It’s now 71,769 – a rise of 13%.

The council predicts that in five years time it will be over 82,000 – almost 15% more.

Bondi/Waverley will soon be one of Sydney’s more densely-populated areas. Currently it has just over 77 people per hectare (the average density of the whole of Sydney is around 66 people per hectare.)
