Waverley Council is “recommitting Bondi to a sustainable future” by putting on its second Nature Pledge Day at a ceremony at the beach on Saturday April 2.


Waverley Mayor Sally Betts will launch the new campaign - intended to promote reduced water-use, increased recycling, and more sustainable transport - at the south end of the beach, near the skate park, at 9am. 


Council staff will be on hand from 9-4pm to explain the aims of the campaign, whose goal is to “Make Being Green Second Nature”, and includes such events as creating “the world’s largest mindfulness mural” (passers-by will be invited to join in).  


Those who “sign the pledge” will receive reusable “KeepCups”, temporary tattoos, and campaign badges.  Those unable to attend and sign up can instead pledge online at
